Live/Virtual Cognitive Systems Simulation (2009)- This
paper describes the mapping of cognitive action loops to computer systems and
presents an architecture for simulated cognitive systems. It points out how
actual cognitive systems are characterized by closed action loops in time which
flow through the observer while
mimicked, artificial intelligence systems, can be built from conventional
machinery by using spatial feedback lops that flow past the observer. The physical condition for consciousness (2007)- Presents arguments for the inadequacy of classic and quantum physical theories to explain the phenomena of consciousness and calls for an advance in physics and metaphysics to account for the existence of cognitive beings.Quantum Decision Elements in Command and Control System Design (2004)- This presentation shows how decision processes in command and control systems can be described by interacting processing loops. One loop is internal memory to display loop while the second is a sensor display to external world loop. |
