Wolfgang Baer

Dr. Wolfgang Baer has over twenty-five years experience in computer systems, software development, and managing the business of developing state-of-the-art prototype products. A hands-on project leader, programmer, and computer engineer, Dr. Baer has founded and managed two technical consulting companies, written large image and graphics software applications, and directly managed software development teams of seven to ten people. He provides expertise for system design, analysis, maintenance and software development. Dr. Baer has run a multi million dollar simulation development laboratory for the US Army at Ft. Ord requiring both technical and management leadership.

Dr. Baer received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley. He worked at Ford Aerospace as a mission analyst for meteorological and communication satellites before starting a company to develop computer graphics and simulation software.

Dr. Baer held a research professor position at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California. He taught courses in network and network programming and specialized in using high speed low cost networked processors to integrate compute intensive real time video realistic battlefield simulation, rapid terrain data base creation algorithms into battlefield knowledge systems, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mission control systems. His interest in developing UAV vision interpretation systems lead to the analysis of cognitive vision and consciousness studies. Dr. Baer now directs research at Nascent Systems Inc. in cognitive systems development and macroscopic quantum effects leading toward theories integrating subjective and objective experiences.
